POLS 6106. Environmental Issues and Public Policy (3-0-3) Study of federal, state, and local policies related to the protection of the environment and populations. The course includes effects and implications of policies, relationships among agencies in promulgation and enforcement, and requirements and obligations of scientists testifying as expert witnesses in environmental cases.
MPAG 7127. Urban Environment (3-0-3) Explores the processes at work in the urban political environment as they relate to governing. Examines the evolution of the demographic makeup of cities, typical political structures, methods of providing services, and a short overview of management processes including managing people and financial planning. Students will discuss the urban management environment, managing governance conflicts and providing services, and internal management processes including leadership and finances.

POLS 6157. Environmental Policy (3-0-3) This course will analyze the role of American politics, economics, and culture in the formation of domestic and international environmental policies and laws.
POLS 6158. Environmental Justice (3-0-3) This course explores global environmental issues from a perspective that foregrounds questions of social justice. The field of environmental justice asks for fair treatment of all people regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, economic capacity, national origin, and education level with respect to environmental politics and their implementations.
