Financial Aid

The Columbus State University Financial Aid Office offers a wide range of student financial assistance. The office provides information and aid to students seeking scholarships, grants, part-time employment and loans. Financial aid may be awarded based on financial need, academic ability, and/or leadership potential.

Students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for consideration of federal, state and institutional aid programs. Many scholarship programs require this application. The 2016-2017 FAFSA applications are available online at www.fafsa.gov beginning January 1, 2016.

Students seeking only the HOPE Scholarship program may apply on-line at GACollege411.

Students are urged to apply early for optimum financial aid benefits. The priority deadline for submission of completed financial aid applications to the CSU Financial Aid Office for Fall Semester 2016 is March 15.

In order to receive financial aid from federal or state financial aid programs, the student must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards as required by federal regulations. This policy is available at http://finaid.columbusstate.edu/finaid_policies.php.
